Osteopathy is a manual and holistic approach that aims to restore the body's overall balance, both physically, emotionally and energetically.
It considers that every structure in the body — muscles, joints, viscera, tissues — is interconnected, and that any restriction in mobility can disrupt the body's overall harmony.
Through precise movements and careful listening to the body, the osteopath helps the patient release physical tension as well as emotional and energetic blockages that may be affecting their well-being.
The aim is to stimulate the body's natural self-regulating abilities in order to promote a state of balance, fluidity and vitality.
Not covered by the CNS
Osteopathy addresses all the major systems of the human body and helps to restore their overall balance:
- Orthopaedic and musculoskeletal system: lower back pain, upper back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, joint disorders, tendonitis, sprains, etc.
- Neurological system: sciatica, cervicobrachial neuralgia, non-disabling disc herniation, carpal tunnel syndrome, Arnold's syndrome, etc.
- Digestive system: gastroesophageal reflux, constipation, bloating, colitis, transit disorders, etc.
- ENT and pulmonary system: breathing difficulties, headaches, migraines, sinusitis, asthma, etc.
- Neurovegetative and emotional system: stress, anxiety, emotional disorders, psychological shocks and trauma, burnout, sleep disorders, etc.
Osteopathy thus acts on the physical, emotional and energetic levels, promoting the free circulation of movement, fluids and information in the body for overall and lasting well-being.
